Libby Burdick has been suffering from ALS for the last couple of years. On Thursday, she was admitted to the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House behind BMH Collierville. Her condition has worsened tremendously over the past few weeks & especially the last few days. She has asked to just be kept comfortable now. And has told Anthony several times she’s ready to be with Jesus. Anthony is asking that we pray that they can keep her comfortable & that the Lord will cover her with His mercy.
Psalm 91:1-2 says, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[ I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Please pray that Anthony and Libby will feel the closeness of the Lord in their lives like they have never felt it before. That they may “rest in the Shadow of the Almighty.” In His Shadow. Jerry O. Potter

I have been given the opportunity to be a part of the first Kairos Torch Weekend at John Wilder Youth Detention Center in Somerville, Tennessee. We are in need of additional volunteers for this weekend and to continue this ministry in this facility. Male volunteers must be at least 24 years old and female volunteers must be at least 29 years old.
Kairos Torch offers unconditional love and acceptance, encouraging young men and women to share their life journey through participation in a long term mentoring process. The program begins with a weekend retreat inside the prison. Torch team members commit to a weekly mentoring process with the youthful offenders for six months after the weekend. Please reach out if you are interested in learning more about this ministry.

This email was sent from Bartlett City Schools this morning. Michelle and I have 2 children at that school…………………..
Update: We received a report of a bomb threat to the campus of Appling Middle School. Students are currently relocating to the Bartlett Performing Arts Center while law enforcement is continuing their sweep of the building. To minimize disruption around the campus, we are asking parents to not attempt to check out students at this time. All students and staff remain safe. We will continue to provide updates as we receive them.

Please pray for Michelle Gorman, she’s in the hospital now battling a critical illness.
Brothers & Sisters, please be in prayer for Hubert Crane, the father of several of our FW sisters, Christi Zehner, Candice Jeffries & Carrie Crane.
Hubert was rushed to the Tupelo hospital last night (5/5) and is losing blood. Doctors have already given him 6 units and have been trying to get his blood pressure stable, so they can run tests. He’s 81 years old and not in the greatest of health. They had to put him on a ventilator.
